Documentation
- UniPetrans
- We coordinate the document review and the timetable for the itinerary. We organise checks with vets, authorities and airlines, identifying the tasks, people responsible and dates.
- Your role
- Provide the documents already available and complete the actions assigned to you. Certificates and official validations are issued by the relevant professionals or authorities.
- Stage outcome
- We know which documents are ready, what remains outstanding and how each task fits into the journey plan.
Journey planning
- UniPetrans
- We design the itinerary and coordinate flights, connections and the services included. We check acceptance of the animal and carrier and define accompaniment, handovers and the scope of the proposal.
- Your role
- Review the proposal and confirm the dates, details and services agreed. Tell us about existing bookings or changes before the itinerary is finalised.
- Stage outcome
- An agreed plan with the necessary acceptances and reservations checked. An initial enquiry or proposal does not, by itself, confirm a journey.
Accompanied travel
- UniPetrans
- We organise meetings, airport presentation and the escort’s tasks according to the agreed service. The animal’s welfare guides coordination throughout the itinerary.
- Your role
- Prepare the pet, documents and carrier for handover as agreed. Keep departure and arrival contacts available and follow the arrangements made for the journey.
- Stage outcome
- You know who travels, where handovers take place and what assistance is included. With AVIH, the animal travels in the conditioned hold; the escort has no physical access during the flight.
Ongoing communication
- UniPetrans
- We stay in contact throughout the journey, keep you informed of progress and changes, and coordinate the response when an operational issue arises.
- Your role
- We agree the communication channels and key contacts. Tell us about changes affecting the journey and help us reach the responsible person when needed.
- Stage outcome
- The family and everyone involved know how the journey is progressing and what happens next. Communication runs through all the other stages.
Arrival at your destination
- UniPetrans
- We coordinate arrival and handover at the agreed point. We arrange onward transfers or destination assistance when included in the service and confirm the agreed delivery.
- Your role
- Provide the receiving person’s details and tell us about changes to contacts, timing or location so we can review the arrangements.
- Stage outcome
- Your pet is with the agreed receiving person and completion of the service is confirmed. The flight is one part of the journey; the plan covers the final handover contracted.
