Pet Nanny is the service in which a professional travels with the pet while the owner does not make the journey. Preparation and coordination are included, alongside accompaniment during travel.
What does professional accompaniment involve?
A UniPetrans professional participates in your dog's or cat's journey and coordinates the agreed stages and handovers. Before confirmation, we assess the route, the animal and acceptance by the operating airlines.
Are preparation and coordination included?
Yes. We review the animal's details, itinerary, carrier and document preparation, and coordinate the arrangements required for the agreed service. This is not a separate service category: it is included in both Pet Nanny and Chaperone.
The proposal specifies tasks, responsibilities, meeting points and any outstanding conditions. Document coordination does not replace certification or validation by the vet or relevant authorities.
Define the service before confirmation
The proposal should identify the itinerary, extent of accompaniment, handover points and included tasks. Any additional services and conditions still awaiting confirmation should also be clear.
How is departure organised?
We agree the meeting point, handover of the pet and documents, timings and airport arrangements. Tell us about existing tickets or reservations from the start so their compatibility with accompanied travel can be checked.
Will my pet always be physically beside the professional?
The professional travels on the agreed itinerary, but physical access to the animal depends on the travel arrangement and airport procedures. Being on the same flight does not provide access to an animal travelling in the hold.
We assess PETC or accompanied AVIH where the airline and route allow it. We do not transport pets as manifest cargo.
How will I receive journey updates?
We stay in touch with you throughout the journey and keep you informed of progress and any changes.
Before departure, we agree the contacts and how progress or disruptions will be communicated. This establishes who should be informed, through which channel and how changes affecting the journey will be coordinated.
How is arrival prepared?
We agree the handover location, the person receiving the pet and the arrival tasks included in the service. Any onward transfer or additional assistance must be defined in the proposal.
What if I want to travel with my pet?
If the owner is travelling and wants a professional to accompany both of them, the appropriate service is Chaperone. Preparation and coordination are included in both services; the difference is who makes the journey.

Does Pet Nanny guarantee cabin travel?
No. Travel mode depends on the animal, carrier, route and airline acceptance.
Is it the same as travelling with my pet myself?
No. Owner-accompanied travel means you are the companion; Pet Nanny is assessed when professional accompaniment is needed.
